Murphy Calendar Company in Red Oak, Iowa. A powerful and patriotic offering, this image features marines storming the beaches of the Pacific Theatre during the World War II conflict. Titled “Semper Fidelis (Always Faithful)” by Emmett Watson. Includes a single January 1944 calendar date pad. Measures a complete 10 1/4″ x 16″ with an image size of 10 1/4″ x 7 3/4″. 1945 VICTORY Now You Can Invest In It! Victory Loan WWII Poster Dean Cornwell

Date: 1945 Artist: Cornwell, Dean Size (in): 12.25 x 8.5 Size (cm): 31 x 21.5 Condition: A- Linen backed: No This vintage original WWII cardboard standee sign style poster was created by the artist Dean Cornwell for the Victory Loan drive. An American Eagle perches on a stack of war bonds against a patriotic red, white and blue flag background with the artist’s name signed in the lower left hand corner of the image. The Victory Loan drive was the eighth and final of the US Treasury WWII era war bond drives and was undertaken just after Japan surrendered ending WWII. This is a cardboard standee type counter sign with easel arm on the back. This vintage original sign is in “like new” condition and doesn’t look like it was ever used as the easel arm on the back was never extended. Overall condition is very good with just slight evidence of handling.
