RARE SANTA CLAUS COFFEE TRADE CARD FRANKLIN MACVEAGH & CO. CHICAGO CIRCA 1910 This very rare Santa Claus Coffee trade card comes from Chicago circa 1910 when Franklin MacVeagh & Co. was a wholesale grocery business. The front winter scene color lithograph features a church at sunset with a tree full of sitting birds in the foreground, all pictured upon a lady’s fancy fan. Card measures 3.5” x 5.5” and has gentle antique wear with some light stains and tanning on back. There is a place at the front on the bottom where a tear may have been repaired. It didn’t go through to back of card. Has a slightly rougher finish in that spot. I purchased the card in this condition. If it was repaired, I think it was done well because it hardly shows. Another small spot along front bottom that still retains color. Photos clearly show the beauty of this antique card and its small flaws. Franklin MacVeagh was an American politician, lawyer, grocer and banker. He was United States Secretary of the Treasury under President William Howard Taft.
