This is an original antique 1890s Victorian Christmas Greeting trade card, which was a promotional advertisement for the Frear's Bazaar Window Shades in Troy, NY. The card features a Victorian-era chromolithograph image of Christmas Holly with a boy, a girl, a chicken & a rooster. These were given to customers to promote sales during the Christmas season. Trade cards were a popular form of advertising memorabilia in the late 19th century. This card was beautifully preserved under glass in a copper tape frame.
