Antique Postcard 2 Sided Ad for Pik-Ron Transparent Paint for Glass

Specifications

This 3 1/2 by 6 inch card, printed on both sides is an ad for Pik-Ron, a transparent paint which was used to color glass. It was used to make colored signs or for creating a picture on a glass plate which would be hung against a window, or to decorate vases - sort of an imitation of stained glass. Some shades were also used to stain worn or discolored furniture. It was made by the Wolfe & Randolph Company of Philadelphia which also made shoe blacking. It was introduced in the 1890's - I am not sure how long it was made. The card shows the 10 colors available. It is lightly toned with some edgewear and foxing.
