This beverage tray shows an image of a soda bottle in a hand. The wording says "NuGrape" and "A flavor you can't forget. Imitation grape. Trademark Re...." This tray probably dates from the 1920s-1940s, although we don't see a date anywhere on it. Most likely this item was used in a bar or restaurant during the mid-twentieth century. We rediscovered it in May 2023 after about1996 or 1997. We packed it away, and ignored it for nearly 30 years in one storage building. From anytime between 1941 and 1996 or 1997 it was in storage at Otto Ristow's place located near Ettrick, WI. Where or when Otto got it, I know not. I only imagine a Melrose, WI or North Bend, WI tavern gave it to him; or did he find it in a dump? Otto died in around 2005. Few survived who know anything about this. My experiences regarding Otto and others are almost enchanting and I wish I had time to record some of those stories here. Please be sure to read the description.
